Concerts in the Park Volunteer
One of Kalamazoo’s long-standing traditions offered Sunday’s in June, July and August in Bronson Park, Concerts in the Park deliver a unique offering unlike other concert series in Kalamazoo. Each concert is free and is friendly for the entire family. Picnic meals (no grilling allowed), blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged. The park allows people of age to BYOB (no more than 72 oz. per person). You must receive a bracelet if you are 21 and older and you would like to enjoy adult beverages during the show. Shows begin at 4 pm. The rain location is First United Methodist Church, just across from Bronson Park (unless otherwise noted).
Art Hop Host
The Art Hop Host will perform a variety of tasks during Art Hop, which takes place on the first Friday of each month. Responsibilities will include greeting guests, serving refreshments, handling the sale of artwork, and other tasks as assigned by the Director of Development and Programs. This position helps to extend the resources in the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo to better assist and direct the needs of our patrons.
The Office Volunteer will perform a variety of tasks depending on project deadlines in the office. Responsibilities will include answering phones, greeting guests, and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Office Coordinator and Executive Director. This position helps to extend the resources in the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo to better assist and direct the needs of our patrons.
Art on the Mall Volunteer
Art on the Mall, the first full weekend in June, is part of the kickoff to the summer arts weekend in downtown Kalamazoo. There are many different positions for AOTM volunteers, including Swag Bag/Information Prep, Registration Table, Traffic Monitors, Set-Up, Clean-Up Crew, Information Volunteer, Float Volunteer, and Load-Out Crew.
