KCC DIRECTOR

The Kalamazoo Cultural Center (KCC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (ACGK),  owns and operates the Epic Center in downtown Kalamazoo. The KCC is poised for expansion and is looking for the right person to fill a newly created staff position, KCC Director. The Epic Center is an 89,000-square-foot art deco-style cultural center that is headquarters for the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, Black Arts & Cultural Center, Crescendo Academy of Music, and Education for the Arts, Central City Tap House, Judy K. Jolliffe Theatre, Fontana Chamber Arts, Gilmore Piano Festival, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Public Media Network, Stulberg String Competition, and Wellspring/ Cori Terry & Dancers. The KCC Director will work under the management of the ACGK to build this new position and the infrastructure needed to create staff capacity for the Kalamazoo Cultural Center.

We are looking for an energetic, innovative thinker who can collaborate with a diverse group artists and managers and is willing to pitch in and work side-by-side with our building partners to affect the organization positively. This position requires a well-rounded knowledge of facility management, fundraising, marketing, financial oversight, and event management as it relates to different artistic disciplines. 

This is a full-time, salaried, FSLA-exempt position that requires some evenings and weekends. Benefits are available. MARKETING DIRECTOR

The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo is looking for a new team member to oversee the marketing and promotion of the programs and services of the Arts Council, as well as champion the promotional needs of our members.  The ideal candidate will have proven marketing skills, great insight into the promotional needs of the arts, and the ability to develop and execute marketing plans with a small team of staff and contractors on a challenging schedule.

If you are drawn to creativity but have the pension for structure and schedules, this is the perfect position for you.  The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo works with a digital media specialist on staff and design, printing, and advertising contractors to execute the marketing plan for the organization.  This is a full-time salaried position that requires at least 40 hours a week, primarily in our office, and will be needed for some evenings and weekends.

PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

We are seeking to fill the position of Programs Director. In addition to overseeing the development and execution of Art Hop, Summertime Live, Art on the Mall, Blues Skies Busking, the Creative Cafe, and the Community Arts Awards,  the Programs Director is an integral member of a team at the Arts Council that supports artists and organizations creating artistic experiences in our community.
