Thank you for taking the time to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
An important role of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (ACGK) is to ensure the health and sustainability of our creative sector, from musicians to dancers, actors to artists and all the creativity in between. Yet, nearly two years later, the pandemic continues to impact the arts economy, visitation and jobs. ACGK spent the last year relentlessly cranking up promotion, opportunities and support to artists and arts organizations through funding, grants and technical assistance – all to amplify the impact the arts have in building a vibrant and strong community for all.
Please help us Amplify the Arts in our community! We appreciate your support.

The Arts Council provides critical resources – grant writing workshops, convening of local arts leaders, access to artists, advocacy, promotion, concert venues and more. We especially appreciate ACGK’s visionary role in connecting individuals and organizations to help the arts thrive through innovation and partnerships. The Community Box Office and the new outdoor arts venue, Haymarket Plaza, are prime examples of how the Arts Council leads and connects us all. We are proud to be part of the ACGK family and encourage you to join us!

We have always relied on the ACGK to provide a way to advertise our performances both online and in-person during Art Hops. Recently we needed a new ticketing service and they got us up and running in a very short time! Thank you for all you do for the arts in our community!

Since 2019, “Celebrating Chinese New Year” has been featured annually at February Art Hop, providing not only an opportunity for Kalamazoo Chinese Academy (KCA) youth to show off their talents and serve as cultural ambassadors through dance and yoyo performances, but access to other local youth to develop cultural competence. Over the years, ACGK has been instrumental in helping KCA promote awareness and appreciation of Chinese cultural heritage to K-12 students from all different backgrounds in the Kalamazoo community. Through these events, heritage youth can appreciate and celebrate their Chinese heritage and non-heritage youth can experience and explore Chinese culture without having to travel.
