Art Hop was created as a way for local artists, organizations, and businesses to showcase their work and to bring the Kalamazoo community together surrounding a shared love of arts and culture. The event is free for the public to attend, and typically takes place downtown Kalamazoo and in surrounding neighborhoods on the first Friday of the month from February through December. Hopping has never been easier – go to our new Art Hop website and create a login. The new site allows you to see all of the stops, get more information on artists showing in Art Hop, and gives walking directions to navigate Art Hop with ease.
Individual artists, arts organizations, and small businesses can apply online to show their work. The cost to participate is $50. You will be asked to provide photos of your work, an artist bio, artist statement, and links to your social media and/or website, if applicable. Click on the date below to register for that month’s Art Hop. Deadlines for Art Hop participation are always the Monday after Art Hop for the following month’s event. (Example July 5th is the deadline for August 6th’s Art Hop)
We are seeking volunteers to help out during Art Hop, as well as with event set-up and clean-up. Volunteers may be asked to carry signage or do other physical labor, so any unique needs should be noted on the volunteer sign-up form.

Just announced – Art Hop dates for 2022! Plan your participation or attendance for next year. All Art Hops will be on the first Friday except July. We will be taking January off to plan 2022.
