Programs Director/Theatre Manager
Are you looking to bring your leadership and expertise and jump into an entirely new position with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking to fill the new position of Programs Director. In addition to overseeing the development and execution of Art Hop, Summertime Live, Art on the Mall, and Blues Skies, the Programs Director is also responsible for the oversight and management of the Jolliffe Theatre, a rental space located in the Epic Center.

If you enjoy event and program planning, as well as engaging with a diverse group of artists to develop creative connections within the community, then we want you to apply. This position is a full-time, benefits eligible, salaried position during which you will work days, nights, and weekends.

Marketing Intern
Are you looking to apply your marketing skills and talents to a real-world, professional opportunity? If so, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo would like to meet you. We are seeking a candidate to fill our 2019-2020 marketing internship.

As the Marketing Intern, you will work with the Membership/Marketing Director to promote both our members and our programs in a variety of ways, including social media, print, audio, digital, and visual advertising. You will gain valuable experience in maintaining a dynamic website that serves as the community’s calendar of arts events.Additionally, you will interact directly with our organizational and individual members to provide customer service/problem solving and to provide assistance with their promotional endeavors.

If you are available to work an average of 20 hours per week (including some nights and weekends), and you have some marketing experience/education – and you are looking to enhance your skills and expand your experience – this is the position for you!

Theatre Technicians (various roles)
The ACGK is looking for various theatre technicians to staff rentals in the Jolliffe Theatre in the Epic Center downtown, Kalamazoo. Rentals may include meetings, rehearsals, performances, lectures, and special events (dinners, award ceremonies, etc.).

Roles range from House Manager, Stage Manager, Stage Technicians, Light Board/Video Operator, and Sound Board Operator and are hired on a per-project, contracted basis. Fees range from $15 – $20 an hour. The Jolliffe Theatre is in use approximately 250 days a year and is used during early morning, daytime, and evenings.
