NYC based composer-performer music duo, Chromic, brings toy piano, improvisation, and electronics to Kalamazoo for a one-night only concert experience in the gallery. Alongside the musically influenced paintings of David Park, Dorothy Chan and Lucy Yao (WMU ‘15 Piano Performance) will perform a program that features ambient soundscapes, classical music, Aphex Twin, Angélica Negrón, Cassie Wieland’s “Perfectly Clear” after James Turrell, Sigur Rós, and an improvisation inspired by the paintings of David Park to follow. This program is sponsored in part by Adam Schumaker and the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.
