GRANTS

The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo administers six grant programs for which individual artists, arts organizations, and non-profits may apply.

All granting cycles’ availability, deadlines, maximum ask amounts, and application release dates are subject to change. Eligibility for application is in a PDF with each grant. Most require an active membership with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.

Are you an individual artist or an arts organization looking for opportunities to fund a project or professional development opportunity? ACGK is here to help! Our workshops are great for first-time grant applicants but will be helpful and informative to seasoned applicants as well.

FUND YOUR PASSION: AN INTRO TO ACGK GRANTS

This workshop is designed to illuminate the various grant programs we provide as well as funding opportunities through the State of Michigan. Additionally, we want to be able to give you some tips and tricks to ensure a well-crafted and compelling grant request, techniques for framing your budget, and what information is valuable to us when you are reporting back about your projects.

This workshop is designed to help you think critically through your project or professional development opportunity. We will cover how to succinctly and accurately reflect what you are trying to accomplish and how it will benefit you and the community. We will also cover tips and tricks for “reading between the lines” in the guidelines and using the criteria to provide to format the narrative portion of your grant.
