Mary-Louise Totton is an Associate Professor of Art History at Western Michigan University’s Gwen Frostic School of Art, where she teaches courses in Asian, Oceanic, and African arts. She received her Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University. Totton is an accomplished curator, scholar, author, and artist, and she has shared her artistic work and scholarship widely in the US and abroad.
