On March 23 from 10-11 am, members of Gun Lake Tribe will
introduce a local exhibit component highlighting the story of
their own protection and restoration of mnomen, wild rice, in
this region.
Also check out the artist reception in the Glen Vista Gallery
showcasing Southwest Michigan Printmakers (SWMP), a
group of regionally-based printmakers dedicated to the
creation of hand-crafted, fine art prints. In collaboration
with the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council, SWMP has
produced a portfolio including 22 artist’s works based on the
theme of the Kalamazoo watershed including environmental
impacts, conservation efforts, and wildlife documentation.
Exhibit and reception are included in regular KNC admission and free to KNC members.
