Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry and Beginning/Intermediate Jewelry or equivalent
Would you like to try your hand at casting natural materials with woody or fibrous properties? This class will focus on preparing natural materials for casting and will be a combination of one KIA studio Tuesday evening class and three online/in home prep work classes. Each Sunday from 12 – 5pm you will schedule a one-hour studio session at the KIA Jewelry studio. Students will meet in the KIA jewelry studio for the first Tuesday session for a demonstration and to obtain materials to work at home to prepare flasks for casting. Subsequent Tuesday sessions will be held online to cover each step with demonstrations and allow students to ask questions. Fresh materials will be picked up weekly during Sunday casting sessions. Students will be limited to two flasks per week. All materials provided with additional available for purchase.
