Described as the “patron saint of the American wilderness”, John Muir was a naturalist, author, and activist whose vision became the foundation of the American Conservation movement. Muir’s eloquent insistence on the importance of wilderness influenced artists such as Ansel Adams as well as president Theodore Roosevelt. As it explores Muir’s life and work, the documentary includes reenactments filmed in the majestic landscapes he visited.
