Poetry Readings from Venezuela and Amercian Poets with a focus on heritage and traditions.

An Evening of Venezuelan and American Poetry will feature Timothy Adès, award-winning rhyming translator in video conference from the UK. He will share an excerpt of his translation of Florentino and the Devil, a heritage poem of Venezuela originally written by Alberto Arvelo Torrealba. Sara Lupita Olivares, recipient of the 2020 Canto Mundo Poetry Prize of the University of Arkansas Press, will read from a selection of her works.
