Calls for Artists - DEADLINE :
First Frost Arts and Fine Crafts Fair

Join us for the 13th Annual FIRST FROST Arts & Fine Crafts Fair !

Saturday, November 3 – Sunday, November 4, 2018

The Flint Institute of Arts and its Founders Society announce the 13th Annual FIRST FROST

Arts & Fine Crafts Fair.  Recent growth in programs and exhibitions at the Flint Institute of

Arts have resulted in reduced availability of space for the First Frost Fair.  This year’s fair

will be the last First Frost held inside the FIA museum, but our intent is to find a nearby

indoor venue in which to hold bigger and better First Frost Fairs next year and beyond.

The 2018 event will be more compact than previous shows, but will continue to showcase

giftable art and fine hand-crafted items at the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

Indoor space for about 30 artists will available.
All artists will be juried.  Judging criteria based on artistic quality, uniqueness of design
and appropriateness to the holiday event.  (No antiques and mass-produced items.)

Booth Sizes:      10’x10’ = $225,      8’x8’ = $185
Event Times:     Saturday, 10am – 5pm  and  Sunday, 11am – 4pm.

Application forms are available through the FIA website by clicking HERE.

The forms may be downloaded and mailed by

email or US mail, or they may be completed and forwarded on-line.

Images representative of the artist’s work and typical booth display MUST be provided
as photos, email attachments,  jpeg CD, or a suitable website address.

Booth payment must accompany the application via PayPal or check payable to the
Founders Society.

Applications for entry will be accepted through August 10, 2018.  Applicants will be notified

no later than August 24, 2018 of acceptance.  Unsuccessful applicants will be fully refunded

for their booth payment.
