The Haymarket Plaza is the newest outdoor activity space for arts and culture! The plaza is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo at 139 N. Edwards Street. Outfitted with Wi-Fi, speakers, lighting, and an ice melt system, this space can accommodate everything from concerts, movies, and art exhibitions, to receptions, corporate events, and festivals! This spacious open-air venue also boasts state-of-the-art 3-D projection technology that is perfect for displaying arts and entertainment content on a large scale.
Because a portion of this alley is public property, a City of Kalamazoo Special Event license is required to use this space, and a minimum of three weeks is required for approval and processing of the license. The Arts Council facilitates all approval and licensing requirements required to access this space. The rental price of this space includes the special event license, parking costs, trash removal, and staffing. The Arts Council also provides technical support and house management, making your event a simple turnkey experience! All you do is show up and accommodate your guests. We’ll take care of the rest.
