Center Stage Theatre (CST) began as Comstock Community Theatre in 1974. It was started by a group of Comstock residents who recognized the need for families to participate in and experience live theatre together. A place that would nurture talent, teach a variety of skills, and entertain and excite audiences. CCT was born…to be a place where everyone could discover the love of theatre. In 1992, CST moved into the newly opened Comstock Community Auditorium as a resident company. CST is the only community theatre in town that welcomes everyone who auditions and is willing to make the time commitment to participate in the productions. It is common for our summer musical to have over 100 cast and crew members of all ages. We also produce a children’s show in the fall that features young actors. CCT/CST has been fortunate to have thousands of dedicated volunteers on the stage and behind the scenes. Without these dedicated volunteers, CCT/CST could not have produced more than 40 seasons of wonderful memories.
