Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition Opening Reception

Presented by Kellogg Community College at Kellogg Community College | Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center

The College will celebrate the new installations with an opening reception with the artists held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center, located on the south side of campus at 450 North Ave.

All six artists will be on hand during the event, which is free and open to the public and coincides with the annual citywide Artwalk: Fall into the Arts event that night downtown. The event will also include refreshments and self-guided audio tours of the sculptural exhibit, through which the artists will discuss their works via pre-recorded remarks accessible via QR codes.

This year’s installation marks the fourth time the Art on Campus initiative issued a call for sculptures to beautify the College’s campus. The initiative’s committee also selected sculptures for installation on campus in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

The new sculptures will be on display at KCC until at least June 2024.
