Going, Going, Gone is a new solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist and environmentalist Kristina Sheufelt. Sheufelt is based in Detroit, Michigan, and recently received her MFA from the University of Michigan’s Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design. In Going, Going, Gone, Sheufelt uses a variety of media to examine themes of loss and absence in the natural world. In Sheufelt’s practice, an ever-evolving hybrid of art-making, conservation work, and contemplative studies, the psychological landscape of loss is a fluid space, a site of exchange in which human concerns and environmental concerns are deeply entangled, each informing and impacting the other.
