Gottschalk’s rhythmic and creole-influenced First Symphony will have you ready to dance and Barber’s stunningly beautiful Violin Concerto features concertmaster Jun-Ching Lin. In a truly captivating work, William Grant Still’s sensational Africa weaves together influences of blues, jazz, and spirituals.
