Public Bike Mural Exhibit

Public Bike Mural Exhibit

Presented by Bike Friendly Kalamazoo at Prairie Ronde Artist Gallery

Meet artist Ellen VanderMyde and view an exhibit showcasing the progress made on the area’s first public mural dedicated to depicting the joys of bicycling. The mural is being painted on a building owned by local business leader Clark Logic.

Bike Friendly Kalamazoo’s innovative Public Mural program launched in 2022. The goal is to express the joys of bicycling throughout area municipalities in public spaces. Bike Friendly Kalamazoo has long been a champion of the many positive values embodied in bicycling. BFK appreciates that the arts and other creative, soul-lifting, endeavors can add even more joy and interest to the bicycling experience. Its public mural program is meant to encourage bicycling and to remind motorists to be careful around cyclists. This mural is made possible through the generosity of the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and Bike Friendly Kalamazoo. The exhibit is made possible through the support of the Prairie Ronde Artist Gallery.
