September Artist Happy Hour - Neurodiversity and Mental Health in the Arts

September Artist Happy Hour – Neurodiversity and Mental Health in the Arts at WMU

In this panelist discussion, we will discuss the definition of Neurodiversity and its importance and impact on Art in our world. We will also talk about its overlap with mental health and hear from the panelists about their experiences as artists, and what they have coming up next. Additionally, we will cover some resources available to neurodiverse artists, and artists with mental wellness needs.

The panelists are Jonathan Wijnberg, Kalamazoo-based Painter, Ish Klein, local theatre artist/writer, and Austin Rounds, local artist.

This one-of-a-kind event will take place in the Richmond Center for the Visual Arts, located on the campus of Western Michigan University at 1903 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. Complimentary food and drinks are provided. The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
