A narrative storytelling project
Media Activism - Documentary - Storytelling

Media Shift is an 11 week intensive training and production program to work with you to tell a non-fiction local story through media.
The program is designed to help BIPOC creators use their voice to create media with impact.
$1,000 stipend for participants
Hands-on training in all aspects of the production process will be provided including Pre-Production, Production and Post Production.
Receive mentorship, training, and production equipment to produce a three to five minute documentary or video story.
Participants meet weekly on Saturdays from 1PM - 5 PM from March 12th through May 21st 
A screening will be planned and held on June 4th, 2022.
Participants will be chosen through an application process.
Spaces are prioritized for Black/BIPOC creators in the City of Kalamazoo.
