Art Hop - June 3, 2022

Art Hop - June 3, 2022

Presented by Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo at Downtown Kalamazoo and Surrounding Neighborhoods

Freedom is something we all hold dear. No one wants to be constrained or objectified for any reason. We are not free unless we’re all free. That’s why it’s so important to celebrate Juneteenth because it commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, and the emancipation of African American enslaved people throughout the Confederate South.

Come celebrate Juneteenth at Art Hop in downtown Kalamazoo, Friday, June 3, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm. Admission is free so bring your entire family. Plus, two weeks before the event you’ll have access the Art Hop June mobile brochure at kalamazooarthop.org. Simply login from your cell phone to learn about each artist and where they are located at the event.
