To work in her studio is one way for Mariann Tsilis Barnard to connect with the world around her, while tuning out the ‘busy-ness’ of our times. It’s a chance to reflect, create and rejuvenate. Her work area is very low tech, pencil and paper, and very hands on,
pliers, files, and saws. Completed artwork is the only deadline or result. Over the years, it has been the one constant in her life.
When she moved to Michigan, a few years back, she became more inspired by the nature all around her. Colors, textures and simple designs, intended to convey that inspiration, are the focus of her pieces. Her short run, limited edition
collections are ever changing. Handmade in Michigan.
