Julia Hope Art Julia Vanderelzen Statement and Links

I have been a full-time artist living in Kalamazoo for almost three years now! Falling in love with my creation process has become therapeutic to me. It has helped me fall in love with myself along the way. Part of what I love about creating is it can be an escape for me. It requires me to employ a mindful approach to my art, I can just focus on the craftsmanship of the piece. This mindful approach to my art in turn has led to a mindful approach in my life. By approaching my work with positive intention, and mindfulness, I’m able to encapsulate a part of my soul into every piece, leaving each one special and unique.
