Digital Concert Hall: Peter and the Wolf

Digital Concert Hall: Peter and the Wolf

Presented by Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Arts Ensemble at Online/Virtual Space

Ballet Arts Ensemble of Kalamazoo joins the KSO to present the delightful childhood classic Peter and the Wolf, a musical story of seven characters, each represented by one or more instruments: strings (Peter), flute (Bird), clarinet (Cat), oboe (Duck), bassoon (Grandpa), horn (Wolf), and timpani and bass drum (Wolf).

The orchestra closes the program with Mother Goose Suite from French composer Maurice Ravel. He wrote this airy, rhythmic piece for friends' children to capture the feelings of childhood innocence and lightness.
