"Once Upon a River" Film Premiere

In celebration of the North American release of the feature film “Once Upon a River” based on the 2011 New York Times Best Selling novel, The Ladies’ Library Association is hosting a series of virtual events including a virtual film screening party this Friday, October 2, 2020 at 7:00 pm.

$5 from every ticket sold by the Ladies’ Library Association will go to support the Ladies’ Library Association Building Maintenance Fund, via the film distributor, Film Movement Int.

Fans and readers of the book are invited to purchase a limited edition copy of the book with a signed and numbered movie poster postcard by Bonnie Jo Campbell at Kalamazoo area bookstores. This is a Bookstore and Michigan News Agency. Quantities are limited.

Local fans who view the film will notice author Bonnie Jo Campbell making a cameo in the feature film wearing her Stormy Kromer cap. The main character, Margo Crane, also appears in the cap later in the film.
