A Live Play - Is Black Enough?
June 25, 2020, 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Enjoy free, LIVE local theater at 7 pm EST Thursday, June 25!! The staged reading of “Is Black Enough?” will stream via Facebook Live on Face Off Theatre Company’s Facebook page. Post your questions about the play as it is in progress, and we'll pick a few to ask the author during our post-show Q&A! Our featured playwright is Shea-Lin Shobowale-Benson, an African-American writer based in Kalamazoo. Her 10-minute piece unpacks a rising Black actor’s struggle for recognition in Hollywood, a topic that the #OscarsSoWhite movement has drawn attention to. Starring Dwane Stiger and Denetta Diamond. This is the second performance in Face Off Theatre Company's Virtual Spring/Summer New Play Series 2020. Join us on July 23 at 7 pm for a different play! Face Off Theatre has been providing Southwest Michigan with innovative diverse theater since 2015 through a partnership with the Black Arts & Cultural Center in Kalamazoo.
