30 years in the making: “Housesitter…The Night They Saved Siegfried’s Brain!” will debut at the Kalamazoo State Theatre on April 4th!
Housesitter is a horror movie filmed entirely in Kalamazoo, including the Henderson Castle, WMU, Kalamazoo College and the Kalamazoo State Theatre.
Combining 1980’s horror and 1950’s sci-fi, it’s the story of an idealist medical student with a serious Elvis obsession, who is determined to perfect his rat-to-rat brain transfer to “help mankind and change the face of modern science”.
After sitting dormant for more than 30 years, the film was finally completed thanks to sound engineering from Skywalker Sound and final picture from Paramount Picture’s color department.
“Housesitter…The Night They Saved Siegfried’s Brain!” is the winner of 3 Film Festival Awards. Come watch unsuspecting college students as they are hunted down by a mad scientist seeking human brains for a “brain pyramid.”
