In 2019, Kalamazoo Academy of Rock celebrated it’s 10-year anniversary of making music in Kalamazoo, and this rock-and-roll anniversary goes to 11!
On March 21 the Kalamazoo Academy of Rock bands, with special guest Matt Giraud, will play the legendary State Theatre. KAR bands start at 2pm and play all afternoon and evening, with Matt Giraud headlining the show that night.
KAR ‘s performances have been wowing audiences for years. These kids can really put on a show! Our current session features more than 50 student musicians in 11 bands, ages 8 to 19.
