Dia de los Muertos - Nov. 2019 Art Hop

Presented by El Concilio at Kalamazoo Expo Center

The Hispanic American Council would like to invite you to our 6th Annual Día de Los Muertos Celebration, which will take place on November 2nd 2019. El Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration filled with music, folkloric dances, traditional art, delicious food, and fun activities for families. This celebration originates from México and is a Native Aztec ceremony used to remember, honor, and support the spiritual journey of our ancestors, for their deaths were not the end but only the beginning of their journey to the spirit realm.

El Día de los Muertos is a way for our Hispanic community to remain connected to its culture. It is also a unique opportunity for the community at large to witness a beautiful and culturally unique practice. It is important to honor, celebrate, and teach our history to our children and community. We invite you to join us for a great evening so you may experience for yourself the beauty of this special holiday and accompany us as we honor our ancestors.
