FOR SAMA: An intimate and epic journey into the female experience of war and a love letter from a young mother to her daughter. This is the story of Waad al-Kateab's life through five years of the uprising in Aleppo, Syria. She falls in love, marries, and gives birth to Sama, as cataclysmic conflict rises around her. Her camera captures incredible stories of loss, laughter and survival as she wrestles with an impossible choice: flee the city to protect her family and abandon her struggle for freedom, or remain amidst the danger.

GIVE ME LIBERTY: A medical transport driver is running late, and roads are closed for a protest. No one else can shuttle his Russian grandfather and émigré friends to a funeral. An alternate route uproots his scheduled clients, particularly a vibrant young woman with ALS. As the day goes from hectic to off-the-rails, their collective ride becomes a hilarious, compassionate, and inter-sectional portrait of American dreams and disenchantment.

TEL AVIV ON FIRE: Salam, an inexperienced young Palestinian man, becomes a writer on a popular soap opera after a chance meeting with an Israeli soldier. His creative career is on the rise--until the soldier and the show's financial backers disagree about how the show should end, and Salam is caught in the middle.

MONOS: Starting Oct 18: A group of young soldiers and rebels watch over an American hostage on a remote Latin American mountain. The teenage commandos perform military training exercises by day and indulge in youthful hedonism by night--an unconventional family bound together under a shadowy force know only as The Organization. When an ambush drives the squadron deep into the jungle, both the mission and the intricate bonds between the group are transformed.
