Olive Madison & Florence Unger replace Oscar Madison and Felix Unger.
Olive Madison has a messy and ill-equipped apartment, despite being a successful television producer, but she still likes to host weekly games of Trivia Pursuit for her girlfriends. One of her friends is Florence Unger, a neurotic, who has been recently dumped by her husband after 25 years of marriage. Also attending the weekly game nights are Mickey (police officer), Vera (slow on the uptake), Sylvia (reforming smoker), Renee (blunt, out-spoken). Florence is invited by Olive to be her roommate (because Olive/friends fear she may be suicidal), and this is where the troubles begin for their friendship.
Olive is a messy, untidy, sports fanatic who is unconcerned about the state of her apartment, whereas, Florence is obsessively clean, tidy, and obsessed with hygiene. Olive’s easy-going outlook on life soon clashes with Flo’s uptight neurotic one, especially after Olive arranges a blind date for the two of them with the Costazuela brothers. Loads of laughs in this transformed Neil Simon play!
