Curated by Tricia Hennessy, this graphic design exhibition documents the important transition from design education to design practice by building relationships with the non-pro t sector of communities. The work includes design projects created for regional community organizations, the Frostic School of Art, College of Fine Arts, and Western Michigan University. Featured projects include the brand identity for the Kalamazoo Nature Center, annual reports for the Kalamzoo Symphony Orchestra, promotional materials for the Kalamzoo Blues Festival and Martin Luther King Day. The exhibition is representative of Professor Hennessy’s twenty-three years directing the Design Center for Research and Education as part of the curriculum in the Graphic Design program in the Frostic School of Art.
