Kalamazoo Concert Band at Bronson Park

Kalamazoo Concert Band at Bronson Park

Presented by Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo at Bronson Park

The mission of the Kalamazoo Concert Band (KCB) is twofold: (1), to provide a legitimate artistic expression of symphonic band music for the greater Kalamazoo community, which will enrich the cultural environment of its residents, and (2), to provide competent area musicians with an opportunity to continue in the performance of their instruments.

The band’s membership is comprised of more than 100 adults from the southwestern Michigan area. Members represent a diversity of occupations. Membership in the KCB is by audition, and the band rehearses weekly, performing four free concerts each season.

About Concerts in The Park:
One of Kalamazoo’s long-standing traditions offered Sunday’s in June, July and August in Bronson Park deliver a unique offering unlike other concert series in Kalamazoo. The rain location is First United Methodist Church, just across from Bronson Park (unless otherwise noted). Notice will be posted on kalamazooarts.org and Facebook if the concert is moved indoors due to inclement weather.
