O Canada!

O Canada!

Presented by Kalamazoo Singers at First United Methodist Church

Choral music from north of the border is featured in this exciting and fun concert. Two collections of songs make up the main part of the concert.  Stephen Chatman's "There is Sweet Music Here" is a collection of four original songs from the poetry of William Blake, Alfred Tennyson and Percy Bysshe Shelley that twist and turn through thoughtful lyrics and rhythmic adventures.   Harry Somers set of "Five Songs of The Newfoundland Outports" gives us a flavor of the maritime traditions of Canada's east coast.
