Recycled Gifts

Presented by Kalamazoo Valley Museum at Kalamazoo Valley Museum

The holiday parade kicks off a season of giving, as does the Kalamazoo Valley Museum’s hands-on program Recycled Gifts, November 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. No matter what holiday you celebrate, there will be lots of gifts to pick from to create your own handmade present.

Throughout the year, we hold onto the hands-on program leftovers for this special day devoted to creating gifts for family and friends. Turn on the creativity as you decorate dog leashes, catchalls, wooden ornaments, banners, games, jewelry, picture frames, cups, visors and hats, puppets, shoe laces, potholders, and aprons. Draw freehand or use one of our many stencils as you design gifts.

A sensory room will be available for our visitors looking for a quieter space to complete their art projects. Sensory tools, including noise-canceling headphones, are available for loan at the front desk.

Follow the Kalamazoo Holiday Parade presented by Maple Hill Auto Group to the Kalamazoo Valley Museum for a day full of holiday celebration!
