The Black Arts & Cultural Center’s Face Off Theatre Company concludes their dynamic third season with their annual youth series production, Rich Soil, by company member Mickey Moses.
The Gordon’s land that has been passed on from generation to generation, is now being sold. In an attempt to preserve her family’s history, Mama Dee invites her granddaughter Taylor to visit and tries to tell her stories about the land. When Taylor appears uninterested Mama Dee tells her the story of how a feud between her and her half-white cousin Louisa almost lost the family their land. This play explores the importance of history and family connection and always remembering your roots.
The show runs April 26-28th at 7:30pm and April 29th at 2:00pm, with a special $5 Student Night on Thursday, April 26th.
