Face Off Theatre Company Presents… Ships, Shells & Chains

Presented by Black Arts & Cultural Center at First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo

In honor of Black History Month, The Black Arts & Cultural Center's Face Off Theatre Company premieres an ORIGINAL work by one of their resident playwrights Kendra Flournoy.
Ships, Shells, and Chains is a collection of short plays that tracks the character Noni as she journeys from her village in West Africa to the U.S. after being captured into the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Each vignette serves as a snapshot into her world displaying how she copes with the ordeal and begins anew, giving way to her descendants.
