ÆPEX Contemporary Performance, Adam Schumaker, and the Kalamazoo College Department of Music present an evening of new contemporary music by diverse, living composers.
The music of Edgar Barroso, Ashley Fure, Cassandra Kaczor, Adam Schumaker, and Matthew Evan Taylor will be performed. The feature piece will be "Something to Hunt" by Ashley Fure.
Live streaming of the concert will be provided thanks to Public Media Network and the Kalamazoo Artistic Development Initiative Immediate Needs Grant of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
ÆPEX Contemporary Performance is a concert presenting organization dedicated to presenting the music of underrepresented and rarely performed twentieth and twenty-first century composers to audiences across Michigan. Since our debut in December 2015, ÆPEX has produced fourteen concerts and community music events at venues in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Detroit, and Kalamazoo.
