Courting Favor: Objects of Diplomacy and the China Trade.

Presented by Kalamazoo Art League at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts

Lisa Rotondo-McCord —  Assistant Director at the famed New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) will use NOMA collections to illuminate the the role of luxury collectibles traded with China as a manifestation of power and standing.  It’s a timely and interesting topic, and Dr. Rotondo-McCord is an excellent speaker.  Her talk will begin at 10 a.m. at the KIA.   Following the talk Art League will serve light refreshments to all guests.  A Holiday Lunch requiring reservations is scheduled is take place at Fuze in downtown Kalamazoo after the reception.  Details are available at www.KalamazooArtLeague.org
