A Harvest of Song

A Harvest of Song

Presented by Kalamazoo Male Chorus at First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo Male Chorus is celebrating its 90th performance season, making it one of the oldest performing ensembles in Southwest Michigan.  In celebration, we are offering an expanded performance schedule this season. We begin with … A Harvest of SongSunday November 19, 3:00 p.m. in the historic sanctuary of First Congregational Church in downtown Kalamazoo. A Harvest of Song features music drawn from the depths of KMC’s music library with themes including fall harvest, hymn, folk and show tunes reflecting male chorus and glee club traditions. We also pay tribute to one of our longest-singing members, Jim Shillito, who passed away this summer. We will offer a favorite Scottish ballad that harkens back to Jim’s ancestral heritage. Join us for this inaugural concert of our 90th year of singing, Sunday, November 19th, at 3:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church, downtown Kalamazoo.  Admission is free.
