Nutcracker 2017

Nutcracker 2017

Presented by Ballet Arts Ensemble and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra at Chenery Auditorium

Are you looking for an affordably priced holiday concert that will please the entire family? Look no further!
BAE brings the magic and wonder of Nutcracker 2017 to the stage of Kalamazoo’s classic Chenery
Auditorium on Saturday, December 9 (2 and 7 pm), and Sunday, December 10 (2 pm).

This community collaboration features:
Live music by members of the KSO, Daniel Brier conducting.
Guest performers from the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus.
A local cast of more than 100 children and adults.
Professional dancers in the principal roles of the Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy.

A traditional favorite, BAE’s full-length production about Clara and her nutcracker is noted for its attractive sets,
lavish costumes, and the delightful choreography of Artistic Director Cathleen Huling. The last three
Nutcrackers were performed for sell-out crowds, and over that time nearly 12,000 people had the opportunity
to experience dance and music that filled them with the spirit of the season.

Tickets are priced from $15 to $22 and go on sale Monday, October 30, at the Miller Auditorium box office
(269.387.2300). At these prices, tickets will sell out quickly—especially for the Sunday show. So make your
reservations early to get the best seats!
