Three Michigan poets will read poems about lakes.

Elizabeth Kerlikowske, Kathleen McGookey and Cindy Hunter Morgan will all read poems about lakes from their latest collections.

Elizabeth Kerlikowske’s handmade, limited-edition chapbook Chain of Lakes was released in the fall by the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center. Elizabeth is co-director of the Alchemy: Artists and Writers Initiative.

Kathleen McGookey’s book Heart in a Jar is published by White Pine Press. Her work has appeared recently in Arts & Letters, Third Coast, The Dunes Review, and Waxwing.

Cindy Hunter Morgan’s book Harborless, poems informed by Great Lakes shipwrecks, is just out from Wayne State University Press. It won the 2017 Moveen Prize in Poetry. Cindy teaches at Michigan State.
