Pianist and composer Marc-André Hamelin ranks among the elite world pianists for his unrivalled blend of musicianship and virtuosity in the great works of the established repertoire, as well as for his intrepid exploration of the neglected music of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The Montreal native has been featured on more than 70 albums throughout his career. In 2006, Hamelin was awarded the lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critic’s Award and in June 2015 was inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame in recognition of his remarkable discography.
