Play Synopsis:
Pirates of the Amazon is a madcap romp that follows the adventures of Captain Jenny Silver (daughter of the notorious Long John Silver) and her stowed-away-to-become-a-pirate niece aboard a pirate ship crewed almost entirely by women! Captain Jenny’s quest to find out where her father was banished leads her screwball crew to the HMS Betterton, in hopes of finding the man responsible. Our heroes miraculously make their way to Mystery Island only to encounter the comedy stylings of sea monsters Eddie and Elvis, and the amazing ego of Ethel, Queen of the Mermaids. Can anything prepare them for the monster that lives on the island? Will Jenny find out what happened to her father? Pirates of the Amazon asks a lot of questions and provides a lot of laughs.
