Coptic stitch binding originated in Egypt, and dates back to the 2nd century AD. This style of binding allows all stitch-work to be visible and incorporated into the overall design while also allowing the book to lay open flat or even stand open to a full 360°. Ideal for journaling, sketching or as a field notebook, these books have a multitude of uses. Choose from the KBAC’s selection of decorative paper to use on your cover, or bring along paper you’ve created in one of our other workshops.
