2016 Gilmore Festival: Ariel Pocock

at Kalamazoo Civic Auditorium

A rising star in the world of jazz, Ariel Pocock has received national and international recognition as a jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer. According to The Seattle Times, Pocock is a uniquely gifted musician with both her “true facility for… sinewy jazz piano [and] breezy, achingly plain-spoken vocal chops.” Ariel’s proud father, David Pocock, will be remembered locally as the first Artistic Director of the Gilmore Festival. Pocock will appear with bassist James Suter.
