Black Arts & Cultural Center & Northside Association for Community Development in collaboration with Educating for Freedom in Schools, People's Food Co-op of Kalamazoo and local community health and wellness and food justice advocates will host a film Viewing of the documentary "Soulfood Junkies" followed by discussion and demonstrations.
This event is part of the Black Arts & Cultural Center's Black History Month programming "The Awakening: A week of Empowerment & Celebration"

Soul Food Junkies is a documentary directed and produced by the filmmaker Byron Hurt. The film explores the history and culinary tradition of soul food and its relevance to African American culture and identity.

Admission is FREE. Donations will be accepted.
