Michele Shelton is a mixed media and textile artist with interests in fashion, jewelry, decorative arts, and entertainment. She creates soft, sculptural structures that translates into costume and ready-to-wear garments and accessories. She favors experimentation with unlikely materials and finds her artistic expression exploring feminine themes. Michele exhibited her work at the Alfred Berkowitz Gallery, Michigan State University-Dearborn, the Art Beat Gallery-Grand Rapids, West Michigan Cancer Institute-Kalamazoo, Saginaw Valley State University, Saginaw Art Museum-Saginaw, Art Prize 2009 and 2011-Grand Rapids, and Grand Prize at the 2010 Southwest Michigan Area Show exhibited at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Southwest Michigan Area Show in 2010. She currently lives and works in Kalamazoo Michigan.
