Nichole Riley is a mixed-media artist living and working as a high school math teacher in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born in Galveston, Texas, in 1974. Nichole earned her BA in Art Education from Western Michigan University. She is currently working on her MFA at Kendall College of Art and Design. She exhibits her work both regionally and nationally. She is the current Art Consultant for Kalamazoo Public Schools.

Her current body of work addresses the relationship between the tangible memory and the internalized one. Using text as her mode of reference, she manipulates the text's settings to articulate the impact on a person’s environment and psyche.
